I am originally from Troy, Illinois. I now live in Collinsville after living in Nashville, Il for the 10 years. I graduated from Triad High School in 2000. While in high school I was a member of the National Honor Society, Knights Council, and the Business Club. I played basketball, hockey, and track. After graduating high school I attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and was a member of the track team. I was an All Conference Hammer thrower and former school record holder in the hammer at SIUE. I graduated from SIUE in December of 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. I was a substitute teacher and Driver Education teacher in the Triad School district until 2007. While working there I was a High School track coach and the Head Middle School track coach. In 2007 I started my tenure with the Collinsville School District. I am also a Driver Education teacher at Collinsville High School. I am the assistant track coach at CHS, I coach the throwing events. In 2009 I married my high school girlfriend of 10 years, Valerie. My wife also is in education, she is the Assistant Principal at Renfro Elementary School in Collinsville. In 2011 we celebrated the birth of our first child, Claire! In 2015 we had our second daughter, Makenna! I am a huge St. Louis Blues fan! I also used to race stock cars on the weekend in the summers!
